About the Course

Since its establishment in 1990, the Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants (ACPWC) has set the standard for excellence in wedding consulting nationwide. We offer the only professional training and certification program for wedding consultants registered by the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Along with courses that are taught by experienced professionals, we also provide continuing education, support, and a vast network for its graduates and members. Our graduates are prepared to start their own businesses after completing the course and soon become leaders in the community of wedding and special event professionals.
Becoming a wedding consultant in any capacity requires a great deal of dedication and passion, which is also true for planning a wedding. Both require creativity, a sense of style, excellent business, and organizational skills. Consultants devote hours to planning and coordinating every detail, negotiating with wedding vendors, dealing with clients and their families, as well as gracefully handling every twist and turn encountered along the way. Being a wedding consultant in any capacity is a demanding career choice, but one with great rewards.

For established consultants, the ACPWC Affiliate Membership Program is now available. Previously, ACPWC membership was limited to those who have completed our programs. We have received numerous requests over the years regarding membership in our Association from consultants who trained under other programs. This new program is designed for consultants who are servicing brides on a professional level and desire to be part of an active community of professional and certified consultants.
