How does your program differ from other programs?

How long been in business?

We were founded in 1990 by Ann Nola. Her vision was to set standards and provide professional training for the wedding industry.

Our motto:  Members helping members to succeed! Our Association works to support our members to stay connected and provide continued education through seminars, workshops, and conferences. We provide a variety of networking opportunities with wedding consultants and industry professionals.

How long is the program?

The Personalized course is three to four days. It is offered throughout the nation.

ACPWC also offers a Home study course. It may be completed in three months.

Where are the classes?

They are held throughout the nation depending upon need or request.

Is the Personalized course better than Home Study? Can it be taken online?

Personalized – Classroom instruction with Certified Wedding Consultants

While we teach theory in the classroom, we stress that hands-on experience and modern practical training help the individual student in preparing to start their business as a wedding consultant. Investing in self and getting the proper training are the keys to any successful business.

Some learn better in a classroom setting, others prefer studying on their own. The home study course is a DVD system of an actual class experience. The home study program is designed for those unable to make scheduled courses and need flexibility with their current situation. Study at your convenience. The DVDs included in the course give the feeling of attending as you are watching the instructor.

Do I get my certification when I finish the course?

You will receive your Certificate of Completion upon meeting the requirements of the course. You then work towards certification through our 3-step process. Practical experience and on the job training is required before certification may be achieved.

Can I use the ACPWC logo?

Once you have received your ‘Professional’ title you may use the logo. After course completion you may say you have been “Professionally trained by the ACPWC” on your business cards and website.

How long does it take to become certified?

Most members receive their “Certified Wedding Consultant” title within two years.

Do you have internships or job placement?

While the ACPWC does not offer internships directly, we provide networking, referrals, and continued support. We provide an opportunity for shadowing, mentoring, and possible internships with other members upon graduation through our post-graduate program.

Is there a support system? What kind of support is provided?

We have a continuing education post-grad support system for our graduates, which includes mentoring, shadowing, tours and workshops, through membership.

Is the ACPWC course accredited?

The ACPWC does not have an affiliation with an accredited college. We have a AAA rating with the Better Business Bureau. We have an excellent reputation as an industry leader and we are respected in the community of wedding professionals. Our Certified Wedding Consultants are industry experts averaging over 21 years of wedding experience.

How will taking the course benefit me and enhance my business?

Taking the course will give you the skills you need to enhance your current business or to start a new business. Training builds confidence and allows you to capture more of your ideal clients.

Does ACPWC offer a membership? What does it include?

Yes. We have three levels of membership to suit a variety of needs. We provide continuing education through networking events, business resources, tours and workshops. We also provide the opportunity to advertise your business on our website and opportunities for banner ads and special promotions.

Membership also offers special pricing for ACPWC events and other conferences national-wide.
