Below is an interview with Patricia Ortega, a recent happy graduate from the ACPWC certification program, who is moving forward in her wedding planning business with confidence.
- Patricia, how was your experience with ACPWC’s certified training course?
I could not ask for a better experience with ACPWC. They helped me find my niche and continue to call and check in with me to make sure I stay on track and continue to succeed.
- How has getting professional help benefited you?
It has helped tremendously. I could not book enough events, because I had no experience, and that is important to people. They like to see what you have done. ACPWC has a graduate program that includes shadowing other members to get the experience you need; and there is no limit on how many you can assist with. I love this program! I have only booked a few wedding but can still assist and get to do what I LOVE.
- Have you done anything to move forward with your business?
I have my business plan written out. All I need to do is go file with the county. I have also revamped my business name and getting my marketing materials ready to disperse. What are the results? I have done a Bridal show and receiving emails from brides daily.
- Have you created a niche for your new Wedding Planning business?
Yes, I was in banking for 5 years before deciding to live my dream as a wedding consultant, so I can deal with any budget or situation that may occur when it comes to making a wedding/event budget.
- What goal for your business would you like to reach this year?
My goal for this year is to learn as much as possible from the members at ACPWC, and continue to build relationships in the wedding industry, get my name out there and continue to live my dream of becoming one of the best Wedding Consultants in our area!!!!!
