Considering the Texas Course?
Allison Giddens, PWC, with Weddings Imagined, LLC took the course with Instructor Karen Casey in Summer 2009.
One of the most difficult things I thought I would face is having to remember that helping others plan their wedding would be their wedding, not my own.
If I didn’t like their color scheme, I didn’t like their color scheme. I thought these types of things would be difficult to get past.
Learning under Karen Casey has taught me that absolutely none of that crosses your mind. As a professional wedding coordinator, you are there for your clients, and you are there to make sure that your bride and groom have a day that is even better than the one they dreamed.
An effective instructor is one that you not only remember what they taught, but why it was taught. There are aspects of wedding planning that you don’t know that you don’t know. You have talents and abilities that this course is able to remind you that you are capable of.
Taking this course encouraged me to take the plunge and start my own business.
You know that you’re in the right line of work when a twinge of sadness creeps in as the bride and groom are ushered away with sparklers or bubbles. But you feel incredibly proud to create an evening that the couple will remember forever; and you feel especially fulfilled when the mother of the bride hugs you as the top layer of cake is boxed up, with tears in her eyes, saying that you’ve helped her to maintain her sanity with all that you have done.
