Featured Wedding: Cake Pops and Flowers and Dancing, Oh My!

This bride and groom got married on a Friday evening, at the Marietta First Baptist Church.

Then, their guests made a very short drive over to the Hilton Marietta Conference Center to enjoy appetizers, drinks, dinner, dancing, and cake.

Gabriel’s made the cake, and Christie Oss of Linen Hero made sure that the chair covers and sashes looked perfect.

The catering manager makes some finishing touches as the cake awaits its bride and groom

 

Want a shoe change at your reception? Consider leaving your reception shoes under your table so that you can discretely slip those on in between dances.

 

In the reception, the bride had a beautiful display of family members' wedding day photos, along with her mom and now mother-in-law's dresses.

The bride and her mom spent time earlier in the week making cake pops. They were put at each place setting, and were an absolute hit!

 

As their guests began to eat dinner, the bride and groom slipped out to take photos. This helped them maximize time before and immediately after the ceremony, allowing their hungry guests to start dinner and still leaving time to have fun at the reception.

 

The photographer set up a mini-"photo booth" in the ballroom after dinner, letting guests be goofy with props, or to have pictures taken with friends and family
