How can couples still get professional advice for their wedding planning if they can’t afford a full-service planner?
We understand that everyone may not be able to afford to hire a “Full-service” wedding consultant to plan their entire wedding. But have you considered hiring a professional consultant for “Wedding Day Management”, also known as the “Day-of Coordinator”? We strongly recommend making this a priority. As a professional wedding consultant, they are responsible for ensuring your big day runs smoothly and timely. Nothing matters more than this. You can plan for all of the beautiful things in the world for your wedding day, but if it doesn’t run smoothly, it can be a disaster. Your wedding planner will be the conduit that keeps the team on schedule and in sync.
If cost is an issue, look for wedding consultants who offer a variety of packages:
- Many offer a “Consultation“ package where you can simply ask questions, and they help you get started. Planners usually charge by the hour, so you can hire them for the number of hours you allot in your budget.
- The “A la Carte“ package provides a variety of services, and you select the services you desire.
- Some offer a “Month Out” package, which offers a bit more time for planning and execution.
If you enjoy planning and want to do it yourself, by all means, go for it! But do yourself a favor on your special day. ACPWC recommends that you leave the coordinating and details in the hands of a capable, professional wedding consultant by considering a “Wedding Day Management“ package. They will direct and manage the events for your wedding day with skill and ease, allowing you the opportunity to enjoy your wedding experience fully, free from worry. These services may also include coordinating the rehearsal.
If there is a church coordinator she will be able to take care of the ceremony. You will still need someone else to direct the reception. A wedding consultant does this for you. Keep in mind, facility coordinators are there to take care of the facility arrangements and set up. Wedding consultants work with the facility coordinators to ensure the bride’s personal needs are fulfilled. “Teamwork really does make the dream work!”
