It’s a great feeling when you look around and see that you’re wedding business is well established and growing, isn’t it? You’re getting a good number of referrals; you’ve developed your industry contacts; and your reputation is coming along nicely.
As a great wedding business owner, you know that the key to staying on top is continual growth. The question is: how do you achieve this?
- Write an ambitious but realistic business plan that specifies what kind of growth you’re aiming for. To get your figures right, you’ll need to review your competitors and the wedding market in your geographical area.
- Identify the opportunities and barriers associated with growing your business. Are you reputation rich but time poor? Then you need to calculate the cost and financial benefit of hiring someone. On the other hand, if couples like your presentation but go elsewhere too often, you need to review your sales technique to close those all-important deals.
- Learn from your competitors but don’t follow them. You’ll only grow your business if you can get to the heart of what makes you unique and sell that message over and over again.
- You must have a proper marketing plan. Whether it’s online, offline or both, your marketing strategy should reflect your values and mission. It may be worth investing in some professional advice if you are struggling with this.
Have you used any of these techniques in the past to grow your wedding business? Let us know.
