It seems like just about everyone is on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and any other number of social media sites these days. While you might not know all the ins and outs of each network, it’s important for you to have a presence on the most popular.
Facebook pages are a perfect way for businesses to communicate with current and potential customers. Brides can “tag” you in their wedding photos, allowing potential clients to see the great work you’ve done. It also gives people an easy way to get in touch with you.
Social bookmarking sites like Pinterest are perfect for wedding consultants. These sites allow you to post images of your work and get it out to huge audiences. It can also help brides let you know what they want. With the recent addition of private pin boards, Pinterest can allow brides to share their ideas and wedding inspiration with you in a less public way.
Don’t feel like you need to be everywhere, though. In fact, it’s easy to lose yourself in social media. Pick one or two social networks and use them well. It’s important that you give the right impression, and use this as a way to show current and potential clients the amazing work you do.
