Lessons Wedding Professionals Can Learn From Lance Armstrong

Lance Armstrong’s decision to step back from doping allegations is the talk of the “town.”   Sure, we came to know him as the guy who nobody could beat on a bicycle, but his legacy has to be the lives he improved.

So what does that have to do with wedding professionals?  Well, there’s a lesson for us all in Lance Armstrong’s choice to step down from a fight.

Here’s what we can learn from him:

• Know when a battle is worth fighting.

• Sometimes stepping away does more harm to your opponent than to you.

• A scandal doesn’t always mean your career is over.

So remember the next time someone in the wedding industry talks bad about you or a bride takes her frustration out on your staff, take the high road and don’t throw in your hat just yet.  Live strong!
