Four days of intense education seasoned with a good dose of fun made the week of ACPWC training go by fast.
A group of eleven lovely students, including one lady from Spain, one each from Colorado and Louisiana and eight students from the big ‘ole state of Texas, met at 9:00 am on Monday as strangers and departed as friends/co-professionals. (Our one male student said it was okay to include him in the “lovely” description. He’s a good sport.)
There is something very connecting about working and learning with people for four long days that is just conducive to establishing supportive relationships. These “connections” spilled over to meals together and a lot of fun outside the classroom as well.
Of course, the time spent in class pouring over fee structures, timelines, etiquette parameters, contracts and wedding details was intense and non-stop. Everyone was tired at the end of each day. But, in spite of difficult odds (including weather issues affecting flights and a pre-class injury of one of the ladies), the class members completed four days of training.
Thanks to all the “lovely eleven” for their attention, support and determination.
