Here is the conclusion of our trilogy of blog posts, following the preparation of the first wedding at a site that was wrapping up construction. Check out www.acpwc.org to read the first 2 posts!
The first wedding at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club’s newest Pavilion at Legacy Lake was staged on a perfectly gorgeous day in Douglasville, Georgia. The Pavilion was still being completed on the day of the wedding. The bride and groom, Austen and Adam, were radiant on a day that had predicted showers but turned out to be 75 degrees with light winds and sunshine. Soiree Catering provided wonderful food. A custom arbor built for the couple included a crest designed for the wedding hanging in what appeared to be thin air. The wedding cake was designed by family friend Chris Lash and a custom linen called “confetti” enhanced the table. The flower petal design on the aisle and the table decorations were done by Blueberry Springs floral designers Pam and Ipo. The new Pavilion on Legacy Lake is a perfect blend of rusticity and elegance in a wooded resort setting where every view is spectacular. Rhonda Eggert, CWC, of RE:Weddings & Events, Inc. coordinated the wedding and had the honor of being the first coordinator in the new facility.
