Well, where to start…
First though, have you ever met a wedding planner who didn’t enjoy their job? Nope, us neither.
It’s the kind of job that lets you enjoy some of the happiest days of people’s lives. Now that can’t be bad for a start.
Ok, there’s some counseling that has to be done along the way but you know it’s all going to be worth it in the end.
Like other self-employed folks, being a wedding planner means ultimately being your own boss. You can put as much as you like into it and, at the other end, reap the benefits. That’s not just in terms of making money but of course, the smile on a bride’s face and the satisfaction you yourself will receive from a job well done. And an important job at that.
Wedding planning is also a job that is growing in demand, thanks to our busy society where many couples just don’t have the time to plan their big day to go the way they want it.
Weddings are a huge industry in the US. A recent report in Forbes magazine put the figure at around $60 billion for 2011. That’s a lot of weddings! And a lot of knowledge needed. Put it this way, armed with the right amount of contacts and enthusiasm, you’ll never be out of a job!
