The ACPWC understands the importance of leadership skills when it comes to weddings, events and corporate functions. Do you?
It may never have occurred to you how important it is to have good leadership skills when planning and executing weddings, events and corporate functions. John Maxwell has a great philosophy that can be applied.
John C. Maxwell says “Great leadership must know the team, the situation and the players.”
Once you get your ideal client, you must know your team. In your case, Your team members maybe different from one wedding to another; so you have to constantly evaluate your team, the situation and the players. When it comes to your vendors and event staff you want to make sure that they are placed where they add the most value. Make sure that you have the right person in the right place. This is very important because, if each person is not doing what adds the most value to the team, you won’t achieve your potential as a team.”
Here is what happens when one or more members are in the wrong position:
The competition takes advantage
The team fails to realize its potential
Having the right people in the right places is essential to teamwork. Your team dynamic changes according to the placement of people:
The Wrong person in the wrong place= Regression (Going backward)
The Wrong person in the right place = Frustration
The Right person in the wrong place= Confusion
The Right person in the Right Place=Progression
The Right People in the Right Places=Multiplication
